Cat & Dog Microchipping now a legal requirement

Since the 10th June 2023, the Microchipping of Cats & Dogs Regulations states all keepers must make sure their puppies are microchipped before 8 weeks old and kittens before 20 weeks old, and ensure their contact details are registered on a DEFRA approved microchipping database.

Cat & Dog owners found not to have microchipped or registered their pets can face a £500 fine.
